Palomino Valley is north of Sparks off the Pyramid Highway on the way to Pyramid Lake, which is a world class fishing site. Wild horses are seen throughout the Reno/Sparks area. This video talks about the adoption center for horses and burros. BLM rounds the horses up via a helicopter and the takes them to the Palomino Valley center to process them for adoption. They de-worm and vaccinate the horses, feed them, and then send some of the horses to other sites to be trained and/or adopted.
